Tips For Future Practicum Students:

It’s okay to not know things! Embrace being a student, and ask lots of questions!

Burnout can sneak up on you. It is important to build in some form of self- care regularly to keep your energy up.

Challenges may present themselves in unexpected ways… like a photocopier with a mind of its own! Stay open to the learning process.

Get comfortable with the uncomfortable, but know your hard limits. Setting and maintaining boundaries is an important element of the learning experience.

Stay open-minded and willing to try new experiences.

Take the initiative! Trying new things may help keep you engaged and excited about your placement.
