What is the best part of SMF?
"I would say the understanding that I came out of SMF with. The most rewarding thing is walking through this world and being able to see those inconvenient truths and knowing that I have the ability to do something with it. I don't see the world in the same way; I can’t see the world in the same way. I feel that I'm privileged to have that knowledge. I need to do something with it or I'm doing a disservice to everyone else.” - Kendra Sacli
“Giving me all the people I met. Creating those friendships. Especially the practicum. SMF gave me close bonds with people that I can trust to talk to after SMF. - Edward Dawley
“It has allowed me to provide support for people who face oppression. I want to be known as the person who advocates for these individuals. I also want to train more individuals to help provide that support and care.” - Thyra Calvert
“I loved every part of SMF. I still have very close friends from the program today and my time spent with them while in university and since I left is something I treasure the most. We can always be open and honest with where we are in our lives and have supported each other through some really difficult and joyful times. My best memories are of the group projects and social activism projects we participated in years ago, some deep bonding took place. I love that no matter how long it’s been since we chatted we can listen to each other and unpack the experience. Nothing better than that!”- Jenni Lowry
