Past keynote speakers include: Jean Kilbourne, Karen Blair, Andrea Doucet, and S. Bear Bergman.

The Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies Research Symposium is an annual conference hosted by the SMF department. This one-day conference highlights research on sexualities, relationships, and families, with particular emphasis on featuring graduate and undergraduate student research. This day provides a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in an academic conference locally (at an affordable student rate).
